Job Description
For our client, we are looking for a Production Team Leader (Food Manufacturing) to lead and coach a team on the shopfloor and ensure production targets are met. This role is hands-on and operational, with responsibility for day-to-day performance across safety, quality, hygiene, output, and coordination with technical support when needed.
- Lead, guide, and coach a team of production employees to deliver daily production targets
- Take operational ownership for safety, product quality, hygiene standards, output, and smooth running of the department
- Keep production aligned with the agreed production plan through scheduling, shift coordination, daily meetings, and performance follow-up
- Analyse production issues, complaints, and deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve ways of working
- Coordinate and prioritise technical activities together with technical support and/or direct leadership
- Train and develop team members and ensure procedures and work instructions are followed
- Support the execution of HR processes on the floor (e.g., coaching, onboarding support, performance conversations)
- Contribute to drafting and updating procedures, work instructions, and standard ways of working
- MBO/HBO level of working and thinking
- Proven experience in a production and/or logistics environment, ideally in a comparable leadership role
