Role Description
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee and optimize the daily maintenance and utility systems at their Leiden site. This hands-on role is vital for ensuring the smooth running of manufacturing facilities, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities - Lead daily facilities and utilities operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance.
- Drive EHS compliance, safety initiatives, and environmental improvement plans.
- Manage preventive maintenance for utilities, manufacturing, and laboratory equipment.
- Lead capital facilities projects, including planning, budgeting, contractor, and project management.
- Ensure all engineering, installation, and maintenance activities comply with GMP, EHS, and regulatory standards.
- Coach and support engineering teams, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support audits, inspections, and risk management, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in Facilities, Engineering, or Maintenance within a GMP/regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS, Quality Systems, Utilities, and Maintenance.
- Proven experience in project management, contractor supervision, and performance monitoring.
