Your new role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Support Professional to join a major pharmaceutical and engineering project in Leiden. In this role, you will support the EHS Lead during the construction and commissioning phases, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and proactive safety culture across site activities.
Working closely with contractors, project teams, and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring that all construction and C&Q activities are performed in accordance with site safety standards and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed - Minimum 5 years of EHS experience supporting large-scale construction, engineering, or industrial projects. - Previous experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemical, or highly regulated industrial environments is preferred. - Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, contractor management, and permit-to-work systems. - Experience supporting commissioning and qualification activities is an advantage. - Familiarity with incident investigation methodologies and safety reporting processes. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with contractors and project teams. - Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and a visible presence on site. - Recognised EHS qualification such as NEBOSH, VCA, or equivalent. - Additional health, safety, or environmental certifications are considered advantageous.
