This role focuses on leading and strengthening occupational safety within engineering and maintenance environments. You will act as the safety authority during preparation and execution of complex facility upgrade projects, ensuring safe field execution and compliance. The position combines hands on site supervision with system level safety improvement and coaching.
- Act as safety lead during engineering and maintenance projects
- Develop and review EHS plans, permits and risk assessments
- Supervise daily on site construction and maintenance activities
- Coordinate workers and subcontractors to ensure safe execution
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Improve safety processes such as permit to work, LOTOTO and working at heights
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce site safety rules
- Deliver safety training to employees and contractors
- Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Participate in internal and external safety audits
- Coach engineering and maintenance teams to strengthen safety culture
- Bachelor degree or equivalent education
- Minimum seven years experience in construction, engineering or related fields
- Strong background in occupational health and safety
- Experience with international management systems such as ISO 14001
- Ability to work in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders
