The Naval Architect position is a full-time, on-site role located in Gorinchem (the Randstad), the Netherlands. In this position, the Naval Architect prepares detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and construction documentation for various vessel types, working closely with senior naval architects and engineers. Daily tasks include performing basic calculations, assisting with structural layouts, checking drawings against regulatory and class requirements, and coordinating technical information with shipyards and suppliers. The role also involves supporting design reviews, updating documentation based on feedback, and ensuring that all plans meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The team member is expected to collaborate with colleagues, communicate clearly, and manage tasks within agreed timelines.
Qualifications: - Candidates should have an BSc (HBO), Msc (WO) or equivalent degree in Naval Architecture, with practical knowledge of hull design, stability, and vessel construction and demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English; - Experience with structural analysis and related calculations to support safe and efficient vessel construction; - Background in marine engineering or closely related disci...
