About the position
Herman Senior is a successful and committed family business looking for an experienced Master < 3000 GT. Our versatile fleet of Shoalbusters and Multicats operates internationally.
As Captain, you are responsible for the safe, professional and efficient execution of operations. You lead the crew, safeguard vessel continuity and maintain clear communication with clients and our shore organization.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, professionally responsible and environmentally friendly watch. - Supervise, motivate and guide the crew. - Train and coach other crew members. - Maintain vessel records, including the ship log and daily reports. - Enforce onboard safety and environmental requirements and maintain safety equipment. - Implement the Herman Senior Management System, company policy, Standing Instructions and Ship Security Plan. - Comply with national and international maritime legislation. - Provide medical assistance when required. - Optimize vessel performance and operational continuity. - Organize and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Your profile
Qualifications
- Valid Master < 3000 GT certificate of competency in accordance with STCW Reg. II/2. - Basic Safety Training - STCW A-VI/1. - Advanced Fire Fighting - STCW A-VI/3. - Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) - STCW A-VI/2-1. - Medical First Aid - STCW A-VI/4-1. - Bridge Resource Management and Radar/ARPA at management level. - Good spoken and written English and resident in the Netherlands. - Experience wit...
