As a Corporate Legal Counsel, you will be part of a small, dynamic legal team consisting of the Corporate Legal Director/Company Secretary and two senior Corporate Legal Counsels. Within the team, we work on a wide variety of legal matters, including commercial contracting, M&A transactions and integrations, trademarks, claims, corporate housekeeping and other corporate matters. In this role, you will independently handle legal work appropriate to your level of experience, while also receiving guidance from senior colleagues on more complex or strategic matters. You will contribute to Kiwa's transition towards a more digital and future-oriented way of working by supporting legal technology initiatives, AI opportunities and process improvements that help increase efficiency, quality and consistency across our legal work.
Key Responsibilities - Contract and Corporate Matters: Draft, review and manage a variety of contracts and legal documents, and support corporate governance, corporate housekeeping and claims management activities; - Legal Advisory: Provide practical legal advice to the business, escalating complex or high-risk matters where appropriate; - M&A Focus: Assist with M&A transactions, due diligence processes and integration activities; - Digital Innovation and Legal Operations: Support the use of legal technology, AI opportunities and process improvement...
