A davit crane consists of a vertical mast, a swivelling jib and a fixed or mobile base. In combination with a manual or electric winch/hoist, you can move loads in a controlled way over an edge, shaft or body of water. Many systems are demountable or portable, allowing you to use a single crane at multiple lifting points. Applications of davit cranes
