H&W addresses pressing societal challenges such as rising healthcare costs, increasing rates of chronic disease, labour market shortages, and the need for healthy living and working environments. It does so in close collaboration with governments, businesses, knowledge institutions and societal partners.
This ambition is closely aligned with TNO's strategy for 2026-2029. Within this new strategic direction, H&W plays an important role in creating societal impact across health, vitality and work.
