On Wednesday 24 June, we at Rondom organised an information evening on 'Living independently at home for longer'. There was a great deal of interest, which shows that this is a topical issue. Many people want to live safely and independently at home for as long as possible and continue to lead active lives. However, they sometimes have questions about what is possible and what support is available to help them achieve this.

There was a great deal of interest, which shows that this is a topic of great concern. Many people want to live safely and independently at home for as long as possible and continue to lead active lives. However, they sometimes have questions about what is possible and what support is available to help them achieve this.
In conversation with our healthcare professionals
Following a brief presentation, the visitors engaged in conversation with various care providers from Rondom. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions. These covered topics such as preventing falls, assistive devices, exercise, living independently at home, footwear and staying healthy and active. Visitors were also able to take away information to read through at their leisure at home.
Working together to identify what is needed
The evening clearly demonstrated how we work together at Rondom, and how our care providers complement one another. Our care providers look at a person's needs from various angles. In doing so, we do not just focus on symptoms; above all, we look at the person, their home situation and their daily life.
