As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you own the mechanical design of our industrial exhaust systems end to end: silencers, SCR reactors and the integrated packages that combine noise attenuation, NOx reduction and back-pressure control in a single casing. You translate a customer specification into a manufacturable design, drive it through calculation and review, and hand it over to production with the documentation to build it right the first time. You work alongside our acoustic, CFD and project engineers on equipment that ships to marine, power-generation and EPC projects worldwide. What you'll do - Lead the mechanical design of silencers, SCR reactors and combined exhaust packages, from concept through detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings. - Size pressure-bearing components and steel structures, and verify them against the applicable codes (PED 2014/68/EU, ASME, EN 1090). - Run and interpret FEA on critical components: thermal expansion, vibration, lifting and transport load cases. - Work with the acoustic and CFD engineers to keep the design inside the noise, back-pressure and flow budget. - Specify materials, weld details and surface treatment for high-temperature, corrosive exhaust environments. - Produce the manufacturing and inspection documentation, and support production and QA through fabrication and commissioning. What you bring - A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years designing welded steel equipment, ideally pressure equipment, heat exchangers, silencers or process skids. - Fluency in a 3D CAD package (SolidWorks or Inventor) and confidence reading and producing fabrication drawings. - Working knowledge of PE...
