As a firmware designer your main responsibility is to create and modify firmware designs for programmable logic, for example FPGA's, including the hardware/software interface of the machine. Your tasks include specifying and documenting requirements, implementing and simulating VHDL code as well as testing the firmware in test setups and in the machine module. As a firmware designer you are the first point of contact for VHDL-related questions. You will work closely with designers of all disciplines (software, hardware, (electro)-mechanical).

As a firmware designer you will be working together with your project team, where you are the VHDL expert. Together with your colleagues you will work on electronics solutions that we develop for and in consultation with our customers, and produce within one of our operating companies.
Your daily tasks include: -
Conceptualizing solutions and budgeting for quotes -
Drafting and reviewing specifications with customers -
Designing, implementing, testing and documenting independently -
Keeping up with development tools and practices -
Adhering to coding standards -
Agile way of working in project teams
