(Junior) Security Officer
Role purpose: Support the organization's security operations by monitoring, preventing, and responding to safety and security incidents while ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures. Key responsibilities - Monitor premises, entrances, and critical areas via patrols and surveillance systems. - Control access: verify identification, issue visitor badges, and maintain entry/exit logs. - Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; escalate to supervisors or emergency services as required. - Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in clear, accurate reports. - Support investigations by preserving evidence and following reporting protocols. - Conduct routine safety checks (e.g., doors, gates, lighting, fire exits) and report hazards. - Assist with crowd control and customer/employee guidance when needed. - Follow all security, confidentiality, and data protection requirements. Required skills and qualifications - Basic knowledge of security procedures, access control, and incident response. - Strong observation, attention to detail, and situational awareness. - Clear communication skills and ability to write structured reports. - Calm, professional approach under pressure; sound judgment and integrity. - Ability to work shifts, nights/weekends, and stand/walk for extended periods. - Preferred: Security license/certification, first aid/CPR, and experience with CCTV or alarm systems.
