Maintenance Engineer Venlo, reference 2026-00821 Job description Our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their logistics operation in Venlo. This is a newly created position within the maintenance team, offering the opportunity to make a real impact and help shape the role from the ground up.You will join a team of two mechanics and act as the technical specialist for more complex technical issues. While the team handles day-to-day maintenance, you will focus on diagnosing recurring problems, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions. In addition, you will contribute to technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic warehouse environment. What will you do? - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving machinery, electrical systems, and software. - Analyze recurring breakdowns and identify root causes using a structured approach. - Install, commission, maintain, and optimize warehouse machinery and logistics systems. - Support and guide maintenance technicians with challenging technical issues. - Develop and implement long-term technical improvements to increase system reliability and performance. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions. - Contribute to technical projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and warehouse operations. - Help create structure and best practices within a growing technical environment.
Requirements - MBO-level education (or higher) in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar. - Approximately 3 years of relevant technical work experience. - Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, production, or automated industrial environment. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Hands-on experience with machinery, electrical systems, and technical maintenance. - Experience performing root ca...
