Context & Job Purpose
GXO is seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of our global enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high network availability, reducing incident resolution times, and supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, including SD-WAN deployments, infrastructure modernization, and cloud connectivity enhancements.
As a key member of the Global Network Services team, you will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and strategic vendor partners to maintain operational excellence and deliver a standardized, secure, and scalable network environment worldwide
Key responsibilities
Network Operations & Support - Support day-to-day network operations, including incident triage, troubleshooting, and service restoration. - Coordinate with managed service providers and vendors to resolve network issues effectively. - Drive continuous improvements in network stability, availability, and performance. - Participate in major incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
Network Engineering & Implementation - Execute network configuration changes, upgrades, and deployments in accordance with global standards. - Support network modernization initiatives, including SD-WAN implementations and infrastructure refresh programs. - Perform pre-deployment validation, implementation support, and post-deployment verification activities. - Assist with lifecycle management, including hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and remediation of end-of-life infrastructure.
