General Requirements
DB2 System Administration - Install, configure, and maintain DB2 subsystems on z/OS - Perform DB2 upgrades, migrations, and subsystem configurations - Manage DB2 objects such as databases, tablespaces, tables, and indexes
Database Performance & Tuning - Monitor DB2 performance and optimise SQL queries and access paths - Perform performance tuning using DB2 tools and utilities - Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement improvements
Backup, Recovery & Utilities - Execute DB2 utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, COPY, RECOVER) - Design and manage backup and recovery strategies - Ensure database integrity and data availability
Incident & Problem Management - Provide L2/L3 support for DB2 related incidents - Perform root cause analysis and implement long term fixes - Ensure adherence to SLA and timely incident resolution
Change & Release Management - Implement DB2 changes via CAB process - Support deployments, releases, and database migrations - Maintain version control and change documentation
Security & Compliance - Manage DB2 security and access controls - Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements - Support audit activities and provide necessary documentation
